Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026. This policy covers the websites wainhold.com and betweenalerts.com and the game Wainhold, made by Between Alerts (Kyiv, Ukraine).

What we collect

Email sign-up. If you leave your email to be told when the demo is out, we store the address, the date, the site language and the country code reported by our hosting provider. We use it only to send that news. We do not sell or share it.

Websites. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you and does not track you across sites; we see only totals (pages viewed, the referring site, country, browser and device type, page load time). We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the sites.

Links to Steam. Our “Wishlist on Steam” links carry a campaign tag (utm_source and similar) so that Valve can tell us how many visits came from our sites. The tag only says which of our pages the visit came from and contains no personal data; what happens on Steam is covered by the Steam Privacy Policy.

Trailer. On wainhold.com the trailer player is loaded only when you click it: it is the YouTube player (youtube-nocookie.com) served from Google’s servers, and Google then receives the usual technical data (such as IP address). Nothing is loaded from YouTube before you click.

The game. The game is distributed through Steam; purchases and your Steam account are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. Online play uses your Steam identity and the data needed to run matches, rankings and replays (player name, match results, game commands). We do not collect other personal data in the game.
