Wainhold is built by one developer in Ukraine — a network engineer and manager with no game-dev background — in the evenings, between air-raid alerts and power cuts, directing a team of AI agents.

Description
Wainhold is a city-building economic strategy with war, in the tradition of the strategy games of the '90s and 2000s — rebuilt in full 3D.
Players lay roads flag to flag, and carriers hand every log, loaf and ingot along each stretch. Woodcutters feed sawmills, farms feed mills and bakeries, mines feed smelters and armouries. A well-planned road network turns a hamlet into a thriving town. Military buildings claim land, soldiers defend and capture it, and harbours open the sea to expeditions and distant settlements. Seasons and weather change the world: autumn rain, storms at sea, snow and frozen lakes, night with lit windows.
Play against a strong AI opponent that builds a real economy, or against other players in competitive multiplayer designed for fair, balanced matches.
Features
- Roads and carriers: every item is moved by hand, visibly, across the settlement
- Production chains: timber, stone, grain, bread, ore and metal
- Territory and war: military buildings, soldiers, defence and capture
- Seasons, weather and day–night cycle in several climates
- Harbours, shipyards and sea expeditions
- Strong AI opponent; fair competitive multiplayer (in development)
- Scalable graphics presets for a wide range of PCs
How it's made (AI use)
We are open about this. Wainhold is made by one person directing a team of AI agents. The agents write the code, generate the 3D models procedurally and run thousands of AI-vs-AI matches to test the balance. The developer decides what the game is, how it looks and feels, and what is good enough — and throws a lot away. All AI-generated content is disclosed on the Steam store page according to Steam's rules.
